I am never alone. Especially when I have you bringing me one of my most favorite songs. Favorite – because it has many emotional and nostalgic connections. Love you. Haven’t I told you I talk to you regularly – in my head?

    Two become one.

It is lonely going solo sometimes. While it is not a new experience for me – I can’t help wondering…..it all comes back to – we come alone usually head first, and we go alone – feet first.

Day 46 and not looking as good as it should

Mom ought to have been enthu about getting up soon – but she’s in a lot of pain and terribly weak. We are assuming it is all because of the stomach infection that lasted almost 9 – 10 days – and that she is resting and recovering from it. Shortly we will have to plan to take her to get X-rays to assess her progress, after which the doc will decide whether she is ready to get up and wear a rigid brace to support her back – and trudge up the road to recovery.

A lovely poem I came across:

    Hello God, I called tonight
    To talk a little while…
    I need a friend who’ll listen,
    To my anxieties and trials…

You see, I can’t quite make it
Through a day just on my own…
I need your love to guide me,
    So I’ll never feel alone.

I want to ask you please to keep
    My family safe and sound.
Come and fill their lives with confidence,
    For whatever fate they’re bound.

Give me faith, dear God, to face
    Each hour throughout the day,
And not to worry over things,
I can’t change in any way.

I thank you God, for being home,
    And listening to my call,
For giving me such good advice,
    When I stumble and fall.

Your number, God, is the only one
    That answers every time.
I never get a busy signal,
Never had to pay a dime.

So thank you, God, for listening,
To my troubles and my sorrow.
Good night, God, I love You, too,
    And I’ll call again tomorrow!
